AwStats is an excellent tool to
monitor your web traffic. First you need to create an ibay in which AwStats
should be installed. This can be done by use of the server-manager. The default
ibay
First Create an ibay where you remember to enable "Execution of dynamic content"
| Information bay name | awstats |
| Description | AWStats Web Statistics |
| Group | Admin |
| User access | Write=group, Read=everyone |
| Public access | As you like it |
| Execution of dynamic content | enabled |
Now you are ready to install AwStats itself. Download and run the install script from my site:
[root@e-smith ]# wget -N http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/downloads/AwStats/install_awstats.sh
[root@e-smith ]# sh install_awstats.sh
If you install in another ibay than the default "awstats" then specify that on the command line
[root@e-smith ]# sh install_awstats.sh stats
The portion of the installation script that updates the statistics for the first time can take a while dependant of how many domains you have on the server and the amount of traffic has been logged. When the installation is complete then use you favorite browser and open the URL:
http://www.yourdomain.com/awstats/
or
http://www.yourdomain.com/install_ibay/
Where install_ibay in the ibay you used for your installation.
An example of the stats from my server is:
